There’s a saying that goes something along the lines of
“Even the best plans never survive first contact with the enemy“
and sure, it definitely comes from some macho 80’s action movie.
But I feel the same way about my lessons plans.
They come together with great ease when I develop them, but they fall apart just as fast when I use them to actually herd catch (I mean teach).

So what’s the solution?
easy
Have a lesson plan that can pivot, flex, stop and start on a whim, just as well as your cats (I mean students) can.
Introducing Classroom screen!
and no, I’m not sponsored, I’m just a genuine fan of this incredibly flexible online tool.
This cheap as chips online teaching tool effectively allows you to collage your lesson plan across your projector screen (or your interactive whiteboard if your from a fancy school).
It also already contains all the widget you could ever need:
Imbed youtube videos - check
Record written instructions for the whole class to see - check
Random name selector to keep students on their toes as to when they will be required to answer a question - check
Non-verbal signs to remind students what they need to be doing? - double check
Display a timer so students don’t have to has you the dreaded question “Mr how much longer to we have??” - check
It’s even free to try out (no subscription required),
and if you like it and you wana put a ring on it, it’s just $30 per year.
Since using this platform my lesson plans have become as flexible as a tik tok fitness influencer, and get just as much attention
